The Airbus A350 marks a major milestone in our ongoing fleet renewal, replacing an older generation of airplane types like the A330. The A350 is our most fuel-efficient and quiet airplane yet. And it's the very first airplane type with Bluetooth audio! That means you can connect your own wireless headphones or earbuds to the inflight entertainment system.
This airplane type is used for long-haul flights, so if you’re traveling intercontinentally, you might be boarding an A350.
Airplane names
Our A350 airplanes are all named after iconic Dutch artworks. And what better name for the first A350 in our fleet than The Night Watch (‘De Nachtwacht’ in Dutch)? Arguably the Netherlands’ most famous painting, it was created by Rembrandt van Rijn in 1642. If you ever find yourself in Amsterdam, head over to the Rijksmuseum to see it in person!
